Light and Funky

Hi all, This weekend mani was inspired by Lolita, I tried different styles this time. This is not my usual style! =) but I want to try something new and try different art for nails, recently when I was browsing blogs, I saw a certain lace style, I can't remember from whose blog I saw it from, please let me know if you have any knowledge of the origin. When I saw it, I was instantly moved, it looks great on nails, I don't know if this one suits your taste...
I used bobbie vodka on ice for the base coat, black lace and added some rhinestones...

For the second mani, I named it "Flaming Skull" , I like this punky nail art, I used konad solid white for the base coat, M42 fauxnad skull i.p and amisy F05 fire i.p .. when you look at it, it seems like the post of thriszha, she made a mani entitled "Kiss Me" . I like the combination of colors she used...
Which of the two is your fav? light or punky??
P.S
I'm looking for bow, pearl, rose, and dried flower for nail art... Let me know if you have an idea where I can acquire them... thank you!

Hope you like them! Have a great weekend everyone! God Bless
Thanks tassas for the Sweet Blog Award!

konad m78 and m72 + few pix of jaem

Hi all, a simple KOTD and a few pix of my son, everyday, he's very excited about going to school, and I'm very happy that he's enjoying his studies, it seems that he adjusted quite well.. So far so good! Eventhough sometimes I have to manage my time for Jaem and also for Jamir my 7month old baby.. After he gets home from school, he always tells me about the new things that he learned... We love Jaem so much, he's very thoughtful and a very loving son, he's also a very protective brother to Jamir... He looks very cute and handsome in his school uniform. :)

1 WEEK NOTDS'

Hi all! I miss blogging, I've been busy this week because my kid started going to school...Anyway, I have lots of Notds that I wanna share with you guys, the first photo is my entry on polishhoarderdisorder weekly challenge, it was fun for me to participate on her weekly challenge, the theme is analogous, e.g yellow, yellow-green, green
In my design I used sponge technique in diagonal pattern, then stamped it with konad m70 on the cuticle portion and konad m81 image plate on the tip..
Analogous Mani

I like this pink shade nail polish, very opaque after 2 coats, some pink shade nail polish make my hand appear a bit dark but this one is perfect for my skin tone. I also like the tiny glits...The bottle is very cute too..The one thing I don't like in this nail polish is rough finish.

The difference between the two nail polish. The nail polish in the left side picture has tiny blue rainbow glitters.. But it is not very visible here in the pix.

Hope you like them! Happy weekend everyone! God Bless

"Democracy at its Best"

Hi to all! Today June 12,2010 we are celebrating our 112th independence day here in the Philippines! Congrats to our newly elected President Benigno Aquino III! Btw today's mani is very patriotic, I submitted it to weekly challenge of polishhoarderdisorder check her awesome blog, I love reading her blog cause there are lots of interesting things you will also like. I enjoy doing this mani, when you look at my previous post, this is the first mani I did.. But as you can see in the picture. I added some modifications.. In my thumbnail, I drew an image of the Philippine flag, in my index, middle and pinky fingernails I used sponged technique, then I drew the 3 star and a sun emblem,I was inspired by the rapper/singer Francis M. I knew everybody knows him, especially when you're here in the Philippines, and in my ring fingernail I applied white base coat, sponged it and drew a yellow ribbon which is the president-elects' symbol, and "Laban" which means "Fight" in English language.
Hope you like it! God Bless you all!

Explanation of the Flag
Each part of the Philippine flag has a specific meaning as follows:

The blue field stands for common unity and the noble desires of the Filipino people.
The white triangle with equal sides of the flag is symbolic of equality among men.
The white field stands for purity.
The sun stands for the gigantic strides that have been made by the Sons of the land on the road to progress and civilization.
The eight rays of the sun in the triangle represent the first eight united provinces that revolted for independence - Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Manila, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Tarlac.
The three stars in the triangle stand for the three major geographical divisions of the country which are Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
The red field symbolizes the eagerness of the Filipino people to shed blood in defense for their country
