Peacock Flowers for YOU...

Hi guys here's my Peacock Flower inspired nails .. I entitled it "Caesalpinia pulcherrima"

*got this meaning from: FLICKER

Peacock Flower/Caesalpinia pulcherrima

In the genus Caesalpinia the most popularly planted species is Caesalpinia pulcherrima.

Common names for this species include Poinciana, Peacock Flower, Red Bird of Paradise, Mexican Bird of Paradise, Dwarf Poinciana, Pride of Barbados, and flamboyan-de-jardin.

It is a shrub growing to 3 m tall, native to tropical America. The leaves are bipinnate, 20-40 cm long, bearing 3-10 pairs of pinnae, each with 6-10 pairs of leaflets 15-25 mm long and 10-15 mm broad.

The flowers are borne in racemes up to 20 cm long, each flower with five yellow, orange or red petals.

The fruit is a pod 6-12 cm long.

It is a striking ornamental plant, widely grown in tropical gardens.

It is also the country flower of the Caribbean island Barbados, and is depicted on the Queen's personal Barbadian flag.

In India it is found in the tropical rain forests.

With a beautiful inflorescence in yellow, red and orange, it is called "Ratnagundhi" colloquially.

Medicine men in the Amazon Rainforest have long known some of the medicinal uses for Caesalpinia pulcherrima, which is known as ayoowiri.

The juice from the leaves is said to cure fever, the juice from the flower cures sores, and the seeds cure bad cough, breathing difficulty, and chest pain.

Four grams from the root is also said to induce abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Wearable Nail Soaker + NOTD

Hi guys!
I've been mia for a week! Yay sorry guys! I have a lot of nail art designs I want to post and share... but first , I have another review product from BORNPRETTY!
I'm very excited at first to try it because I was curious about the use of that particular nail art accessory.. Hehe
Anyway, I received 3 pcs of
Wearable Nail Soaker Art Acrylic Polish Remover tool.. For review purposes only.. But if you will buy them @ bornprettystore it's actually 10 pieces per set... It's a nail soaker.. I used them for removing my glittery nail polish. Most of us usually opt not to use glitter polish because it's very hard to remove on our nails. I think this product right here is the answer to that... It's very easy to use...

  • First, prepare the acetone nail soaker and cotton.
  • Remove the lid of the nail soaker, then insert your finger nails.
  • Place the cotton with acetone on your nails, then put the lid back on the soaker cup .
  • Soak for 2-3mins .
  • You will notice that it removes all the polish on nails much faster than the conventional way. It's very fun and easy...
  • I also used it for moisturizing my nails. I applied lotion and soak it for a minute.. I love the result..
TADA!!
NOTE: This product was sent to me as a gift. I made this review based on my own ideas and preference on how to use them. My opinions about the quality of the said products are based on my personal judgements and the outcome of my usage.

P.S Here are some of my recent nail art designs.. Hope you like them all! God bless

XL IMAGE PLATES

Hi guys!
How's your day? I'm very excited and happy because I finally received my XL image plates.. I bought XL i.p. A,B,C,D, and I. Here are some swatches I made on a bond paper and a scanned image of the design for you guys to see... I really like them! If you zoom in on the images you will see the details of each design more clearly...:)

Pros:
  • I like the idea of putting all those designs in each image plate.
  • Saves storage space and isn't bulky compared to circular plates which only contains 4 - 8 designs.
  • Well-engraved.
  • The design selections are well picked. I like all the designs.
Cons:
  • the edges are sharp because there is no protective cover tape at the back. But you can always buy some protect stickers.
  • The plastic protector that comes with it is very sticky and easy to tear. It took me some time to remove all the excess marks.
  • Some images are not visible (in letter K).
  • Cleaning takes time because of the large size.
-but all in all. I like them! ☺
